If you’re like most business owners, you can stare at a blank Word document for ages waiting for inspiration to strike, or an idea to come to you. And if and when that idea comes, putting it across on paper seems a lot more difficult than you thought. Well, that’s why I became a copywriter.
How did I become a copywriter?
When I became a mum to my gorgeous daughter, I had a background in journalism. But I had little inclination to go back into a high-stress role that would take me away from spending time with her. So when I noticed a course in copywriting (through the Australian Writers Centre), I was intrigued.
Green tea in hand and my daughter asleep, I devoured the course like a plate of creamy linguine. I learnt that I could launch a copywriting business from home, choose my own hours, and actually help people – things that journalism would rarely, if ever, provide.
I set to work devising my business plan and list of services that I could provide to businesses that wanted to save time and effort on copy. Most of all, engaging copy that would help to convert prospects into customers.
What are some of the copywriting services that I offer?
Among my list of services, I chose to offer email copy, blog posts, and articles.
Email copy
Email copy – such as welcome emails, nurture emails and newsletters – is fun to write. Well, for me it is!
There’s an art to crafting a great subject line and drawing the reader’s attention enough to read on and click through. Your emails are the most powerful marketing tool you have. And they’re free! But to get them right, your copy has to be on-point.
Blog posts
Blog posts provide an organic way to keep your website fresh so it can be found by Google and AI Overview, demonstrate your expertise, and subtly promote your business.
Regular blogging can allow you to connect with prospective clients in a human, personal, direct way. It shows them you’re an authority on the subject, and that you’re worthwhile listening to (and investing in).
Articles
To connect the dots with my journalistic experience, I added articles to my suite of services.
Feature articles can combine passion with facts to drive action. They can build your credibility as an expert on a topic, and deliver more detailed information for industry magazines, newspapers and more.
How can I help you save time and effort on your copy?
So why should you hire me to write copy for your business?
As a business owner, you likely struggle to allot the time and effort required to write copy. If you don’t know how to write effective copy that sells, you’re going to waste a lot of time trying to get it right – and likely for minimal returns.
And the wasted effort is enough to stress anyone out; you’ll have busted your butt for no reason.
Hiring me as your copywriter to do the work for you eliminates this waste and stress. And by outsourcing a copywriter, you’re guaranteed to have a far better return on your investment.
If you want to save time and effort and multiply leads like there’s no tomorrow, connect with me for a free, personalised quote. I can’t wait to help your business thrive!
