How do I know you’re the right copywriter for the job?
As a small business owner myself (and a mum), I know it can be hard trusting someone new to handle your baby (aka your business).
In our initial chat, we’ll get to know each other a little better and you can decide whether or not I’m your cup of tea. If you do decide to work with me, I promise you that you’ll be involved every step of the way.
In our discovery call, I’ll ask you a few questions and give you a ballpark quote. If you accept this I’ll email you a proposal and ask for a 50% deposit before we get to work.
Then, we’ll go through the brief together on the phone or via Zoom; this will be the basis of the copy I create.
I’ll send you the first draft in a Word document. If you think it still needs some tinkering, I provide two revisions to make sure you’re happy with the results. When we’re done, the final balance will be due.
What if, after two revisions, I still don’t like the final results?
This rarely happens, but if it does this will mean going back and amending the original brief and starting again. This will incur a new project fee. Alternatively, you go away with some new copy for your business that you didn’t have previously.
Question
How long will it take to get my final copy?
Depending on how big the project is, the estimated turnaround time is 2-4 weeks from the main brief. However, if it’s urgent I’ll do my best to get it to you earlier than this.
Question
If you don’t have experience in my industry, can you still write about it?
A great copywriter is adaptable. I can write for any industry by adjusting my style and tone to suit different types of businesses, from finance to childcare.
In a sense, if you need a copywriter you do not want to hire an expert in your field because the copy should be targeting your customers, not your colleagues. A copywriter who doesn’t know all the answers about what you do will be the one to ask the right questions – and that will inform the best copy for your target market.
In other words, I think like a copywriter AND your ideal customer.
Question
Do you use AI to create the copy?
No. Everything I deliver to my clients is written and edited exclusively by me. However, I am open to using AI tools for brainstorming and research purposes.
Question
Can you design the copy too?
No, I only write the content. However, I do have some web developer, web designer and photographer friends who I can refer you to if you need them.
Question
How much do your services cost?
When we chat, I’ll be able to give you a ballpark quote based on the project, how urgent it is, etc. I can’t list set fees, as every project is so different.
